I would like GreenLight Dash to support a professional, color-managed LUT workflow for Log footage.
Current need:
- import 10-bit Log footage;
- load user-supplied .cube LUT files;
- separate input transform, creative look, and output transform;
- support per-clip, adjustment-layer, and project-level LUT application;
- prevent accidental double conversion;
- show a clear before/after preview;
- save color settings inside the project;
- warn when an incompatible LUT is applied.
Important:
- do not bundle proprietary LUT files;
- users should be able to import official LUTs separately;
- the workflow should be camera-agnostic;
- support camera-specific input transforms or profiles when a manufacturer provides them.
This is needed for a silent-first multilingual video workflow, where footage is shot once and then localized later with different voiceovers.
Suggested implementation:
- input color space selector;
- LUT import in .cube format;
- technical transform + creative look + output transform;
- waveform/histogram/vectorscope;
- project-level color management;
- export preview matching final render.
