CANVAS and HTML EDITOR | Importing a folder with subfolders isn’t possible

Completed

To test the HTML preview/editor, I downloaded an Envato HTML template, and tried both dropping just an HTML file and the entire folder and unpacking the assets. Neither of these successfully displayed CSS styles or images. Ultimately, I had to open the media folder in the OS and copy the assets folder in – if I dragged the asset folder onto the canvas or try to import the folder, it couldn’t find any files to import (because they were all subfolders). This is somewhere in between a feature request and a bug. The “import media from folder” modal should allow users to also add subfolders. Otherwise, true HTML editing is kind of a non starter without messing with the files/folders directly in the file explorer.

Will be added in 4.0 version. You can put zip on canvas. Then new option for unzip will be unzip Unzip and put items on canvas – this will put direct children on canvas and put all folders inside media folder, so Relevant pathes are not broken. Also will be possible to put folders on canvas (it will ask if you want to import folder or put reference).

And remember that boards are connected to real folders in your computer, so you can simply drop anything inside. Click on Folder icon in top toolbar
