3D Model Layers

Put a real 3D object on the timeline and let the project camera film it — a dolly, tilt, pan or roll moves around the object with true perspective and real parallax against your 2D layers, instead of sliding a flat picture of it.

Add Layer menu

Click Add Layer → 3D Model in the timeline toolbar. Pick one of the built-in devices — iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone, iPad, MacBook, iMac and more — or set Source to Custom and load your own .glb / .gltf / .obj file.

The layer behaves like every other layer: opacity, blend modes, filters, clip masks, adjustment layers, camera depth-of-field and motion blur all apply, and its Position / Rotation / Scale keyframes drive the object itself. The on-canvas gizmo works too — drag, scale and rotate the model directly in the preview, with the selection box hugging the model’s real geometry.

Screen artwork

Choose an image or video in the Screen section and it lands on the device’s display, correctly oriented and fitted to the real shape of the screen — exactly as in the Mockup builder. Fill / Fit, scale, offset, rotation, padding and corner rounding are all there, and videos on the screen are driven by the timeline, so a render matches the preview frame for frame. A screen with no artwork is blanked to black.

Environment and light

The panel is organised into collapsible sections — 3D Model, Screen, Environment & Light and Fit:

  • One of ten HDR environments, with intensity, exposure and rotation.
  • Key / fill / rim lights and an optional contact shadow under the object.
  • Baked glTF animations play too, with speed, offset and loop / ping-pong / once.

Real depth

Depth is resolved per pixel against the model’s real surface: push a card layer into a phone and it goes in — visible in front, hidden by the body, coming out the other side. What sits in front of what across the whole composition is decided by each layer’s Z position, not by channel order.

The 3D world view shows the actual model geometry — lights and environment included — so camera moves are framed against the real object, not a flat card.

Rendering

Models render antialiased (4× MSAA), and exports prime the model, its environment, screen artwork and textures before the first frame is encoded — so renders match the preview from frame one.

Grow Fill works on models in real 3D: the fill creeps over the actual surface, and infection points can be placed by clicking the model itself.
