Paste any YouTube link to bring the video into a board. Full-length videos, Shorts, and audio-only extraction all work the same way.
Supported URLs

What lands on the board
The download produces:
- Video file — best available quality up to 1080p by default. The MP4 file is added to the canvas as a video element with playback controls.
- Poster image — frame extracted at 0 s for the canvas thumbnail.
- Title and channel — captured in the element’s metadata, visible in the Lightbox.
Shorts download as a single vertical MP4. They keep the original 9:16 aspect ratio.
Audio-only extraction
Right-click a YouTube video element → Extract audio to pull the audio track out as MP3 or M4A. See Editing Tools.
Quality and size
The download requests the best progressive MP4 the platform offers. To downscale (for example, to keep board folders small) use Right-click → Convert → Resize.
Limits
- Age-restricted videos — require a sign-in. They cannot be downloaded.
- Members-only videos — same.
- Live streams — only completed VODs work.
- Music videos with strict licensing — may be blocked region-by-region. The error message will say “country blocked”.
