HTML, Markdown, and PDF elements render their content directly on the board, so you can read and review them in place without opening another application.
HTML
An HTML element shows the live rendered scene on the canvas — styles and animations run, just as they would in a browser. This is the same content you edit in the visual editor and capture in a screenshot or video render. Editing the file updates the preview.
Markdown
A Markdown element renders formatted text — headings, lists, links, emphasis — on the board, not the raw .md source. Open it in the editor to make changes with the Markdown toolbar; the preview reflects your edits.
Markdown is handy for notes, briefs, and copy decks that live next to the visual work they describe.
A PDF element previews the document on the canvas so you can view it inline — useful for references, brand guidelines, and briefs. PDF elements are preview-only; they are not edited in the app.
Working with previews
- All three behave like normal elements: move, resize, group into frames, and arrange them alongside images and video.
- Previews stay in sync with the underlying file, so an edit (by you or an agent) is reflected the next time the element renders.
