Drop, paste, or generate — the app accepts media from every common source and places it on the canvas at the cursor position.
Drag from your computer
Drag image, video, GIF, SVG, PDF, HTML, 3D model, Figma (.fig), font, or archive (.zip) files from Finder or File Explorer straight onto the canvas. Multi-file drops are supported; the app keeps them in the order you dropped them.
Supported file types:
| Group | Formats |
|---|---|
| Image | JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG, AVIF, BMP, TIFF |
| Video | MP4, WEBM, MOV, AVI, MKV |
| Document | PDF, HTML, MD |
| 3D model | OBJ, GLB, GLTF |
| Design | FIG (Figma) |
| Font | TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2, TTC, EOT |
| Archive | ZIP |
Font files drop in as a live preview card — the typeface is loaded in the browser and rendered as sample text, with buttons to open it in the system font viewer or download it. ZIP archives drop in as an archive card with an Unzip menu — extract to a reference folder, spread the contents on the canvas, or turn the archive into a sub-board. Whole folders can be dropped too, with the same choices plus a straight copy into board media. See Import Folders and Zip.
Paste from the clipboard
Anywhere on the canvas:
- Image copied from another app — paste with Cmd / Ctrl-V. The pixels are saved as PNG.
- URL of a media file or a social post — paste it and the app fetches the content. See Paste Any URL.
- Element copied within the app — pastes the same element at the cursor.
Drag from the Media Library
Click Media Library in the top bar to open the floating media panel. Drag any file from it onto the canvas. The Media Library shows the board’s media folder, plus a quick switcher to peek into other boards.
Generate new media
Use the bottom toolbar:
- Generate Image — open the image-generation panel with model picker and prompt input. See Image Generation.
- Generate Video — same for video models like Kling and WaveSpeed video endpoints.
MotionFast templates are added inside the Video Editor, not from the canvas toolbar.
Generated media is saved to the board folder and added to the canvas like any other element.
HTML elements
HTML files dropped on the canvas become live HTML cards, rendered in place rather than just stored. Cards can also be created by the Board Agent or by pasting HTML, and any external HTML file can act as an interactive widget. See HTML and Markdown Editor.
3D models
Drop an OBJ, GLB, or GLTF file on the canvas and it becomes a 3D element, not a flat thumbnail. The app renders a poster preview of the model on the board, and clicking it opens an interactive viewer where you can orbit, pan, and zoom the model. Lighting and environment match the mockup generator, and the preview works fully offline. A board can hold many models at once without slowing down.
Figma files
Drop a .fig file on the canvas and it becomes a Figma element. A .fig is Figma’s own file format — a proprietary binary the app can’t open or edit on its own — so the card shows the preview image embedded in the file along with the design’s name and a Figma badge. If the file has no embedded preview, the card falls back to a Figma-logo placeholder.
Everything works fully offline. The original .fig is kept in the board folder, and a download button on the card hands it back whenever you need to open the design in Figma itself or re-share it. To keep working on the design, download it and open it in Figma — the canvas card is a reference, not a live editor.
Notes and shapes
Notes and shapes are not “media” but they live on the canvas the same way. See Notes and Markdown Blocks and Drawing Shapes and Arrows.
