The canvas is an infinite 2D surface. Everything you collect, generate, or build on a board lives here.

Pan and zoom
- Pan — hold Space and drag, or use a two-finger trackpad scroll.
- Zoom — pinch on a trackpad, scroll with the modifier key, or use the + / − keys.
- Reset view — click the crosshair button in the bottom-left controls (“Reset zoom & center”).
The current zoom level is shown in the bottom-left corner of the canvas; the canvas remembers it per board, so each board reopens at the position you left it.
On boards with many HTML cards, zoom-out stops at 25% to keep the canvas smooth (toggleable in App settings — “Limit zoom-out on HTML-heavy boards”). Use the minimap to get an overview beyond that.
Minimap
Click the map icon in the bottom-left controls to open a small overview of the whole board. Every element is drawn as a shape — frames as outlines, notes in their own color — and the green rectangle is your current viewport. Click or drag inside the map to jump anywhere on the board; the zoom level stays as it is. Click the map icon again to close it.
Select and move
- Click an element to select it.
- Shift-click to add to or remove from the selection.
- Drag an empty area to draw a marquee selection rectangle.
- Cmd / Ctrl-A selects every element on the canvas.
- Esc clears the selection.
Drag a selected element to move it. Alt-drag duplicates instead of moving.
Snap and align
Elements snap to each other and to alignment guides as you drag. Magnetic snap is on by default — hold Shift while dragging to disable it.
Quick scroll
Drag from the edge of the canvas while moving elements to scroll automatically. Two-finger scroll on the trackpad pans even faster, and Q + drag lets you navigate at speed without releasing the mouse.
Undo and redo
The bottom-left corner of the canvas has dedicated Undo and Redo buttons. Standard shortcuts work too — Cmd / Ctrl-Z to undo, Cmd / Ctrl-Shift-Z to redo. The history is per board.
What sits where
- Top bar — board switcher, view tabs (Canvas, Editor, Mockups), Media Library, Help, Settings, Account.
- Bottom-left controls — undo/redo, zoom level, reset view, minimap.
- Bottom floating toolbar — Add Note, Draw Frame, Shapes, Generate Image, Generate Video, and Organize. MotionFast templates live in the Video Editor’s left sidebar.
- Right edge — Open AI agents (dock toggle).
- Element context menu — right-click any element for actions like Duplicate, Group, Send to back, Edit, Delete. On a video element this also offers the Scene extractor — pull scene frames or build a storyboard from the footage.
Where to go next
- Add content — Adding Media Elements.
- Bring in whole folders or archives — Import Folders and Zip.
- Learn shortcuts — Keyboard Shortcuts.
