The extension ships as a .zip package for Chromium browsers. The current version is 1.0.1.
Chrome / Edge / Brave / Arc / Vivaldi
The extension is available on the Chrome Web Store. Search for GreenLight DashBoard and click Add to Chrome.
If your browser blocks Web Store installs, install the packaged extension manually:
- Download greenlight-dash-browser-1.0.1.zip.
- Unzip it. You get a
browserfolder — keep it somewhere permanent, because the browser loads the extension from this folder every time it starts. - Open
chrome://extensions. - Enable Developer mode.
- Click Load unpacked and select the
browserfolder.
Firefox
The extension is hosted at addons.mozilla.org. Open the listing and click Add to Firefox.
There is no manual-install package for Firefox — the download above is for Chromium browsers only.
Permissions
The extension requests:
- Read and change the data on the websites you visit — needed to access page content for capture.
- Access browser tabs — needed to capture the active tab.
- Storage — to remember your preferences (default target board, capture mode).
- Notifications — to confirm capture results.
The extension does not communicate with anything other than your local desktop app on localhost:18000.
First-run setup
After install, click the extension icon in the toolbar. The popup asks for the target board.
Pick from the dropdown (the dropdown is populated from your desktop app’s board list). Save.
The captures from this browser now go to that board by default until you change it.
Update
The Web Store and addons.mozilla.org push updates automatically. A manually installed copy does not update itself: download the new .zip, replace the contents of the browser folder, then click the reload icon on the extension’s card in chrome://extensions.
