Bring Your Own Keys

GreenLight DashBoard does not resell AI generation. Every call goes from your machine to the provider’s HTTPS endpoint, and the provider bills you directly.

What this means in practice

  • You pay the same per-image or per-second price the provider publishes. No platform tax.
  • Your credits live with the provider — top-up at OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Kling, or WaveSpeed.
  • A failed generation does not cost the app anything; the cost stays on the provider’s side and refunds (if any) follow their policy.

Why this exists

Most AI moodboard tools wrap providers behind their own credit system. That gives them a margin and gives you a single bill, but it also means:

  • You cannot use models the wrapper does not support.
  • Their margin is your over-payment.
  • Your generation history is sent to their servers.

The app’s bring-your-own-key model trades convenience for control. You manage the keys, you see the bills, you keep the data.

What you actually pay

The generation panel shows an estimated cost per request right next to the Generate button (for example ~$0.012). The numbers come from the provider’s published pricing as of the last app update.

Aggregate spend is whatever the provider’s dashboard reports. The app does not (and cannot) deduct credit on your behalf.

How to keep costs predictable

  • Set monthly spend caps in each provider’s dashboard. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google all support spend limits.
  • Prefer WaveSpeed as All in One — its aggregated pricing tends to be the lowest and stable.
  • Use lower-quality previews when iterating — most models expose a “fast” or “draft” variant for ~10 % of the full cost.

Privacy posture

  • AI requests go directly to the provider you choose. The app does not proxy them.
  • Boards, media, and settings stay on your machine. There is no telemetry that sends content to the app’s servers.
  • The licensing endpoint at greenlightdash.pro only sees an opaque license key, not your boards.
