- Ripple editing — hold R and the whole scene follows the edit — DaVinci-style ripple, armed by holding R: drag a clip’s edge and every layer after it slides live with the trim; R+Delete removes a layer and closes the hole; hold R while dropping a clip, media file or preset and the layers after the drop point step aside by its length. A bottom-left notice announces when ripple is on, an amber dashed line marks the edit point, layers that started before it (a music bed under everything) stay put — and one undo reverts the edit and its ripple together.
- Drops on sequential channels land where the snap line shows — Dropping a clip or media file onto a snapped channel used to show the magnetic line at a boundary between two clips — and then append the layer to the end anyway. It now inserts at that boundary, and the clips after it shift along as for any insert into a sequence.
