v7.7.7 — A real camera, animated charts and the Flipbook Builder

  • A real camera for your timelineAdd camera drops a camera layer onto the timeline and everything under it moves through that lens — Zoom, Pan, Dolly, Tilt and Roll, each keyframable like any other property. Because the camera is an ordinary clip you trim it, drag it, undo it and animate it with the same keyframe editor as everything else, and outside the clip the shot returns to neutral. Thirteen presets get you moving in one click — Quiet Push, Wide Reveal, Parallax Arc, Crane Rise, Whip & Land, Handheld Breath, Focus Chase and more — and any channel can opt out of the camera to stay locked to the frame, which is what you want for titles and watermarks.
  • Depth of field — the camera carries a real focus rig — Focus Distance, Aperture and a draggable Focus Point — so you can throw the background soft and rack focus between layers over time. Widen the Focus Area to hold a whole band of the shot sharp instead of a single depth.
  • Screen recordings auto-zoom with the camera — auto-zoom on a recording now emits a camera move instead of scale and pan keyframes on an adjustment layer, so callouts, cursors and overlays composited on top travel with the zoom instead of sliding off it.
  • Zoom and pan the preview — the preview canvas now behaves like a proper editor viewport — scroll to zoom, drag the grey surround to pan, with a zoom readout that snaps back to Fit or true 1:1. The transform gizmo is no longer clipped at the frame edge either, so you can grab the handles of a layer parked outside the frame and animate it in.
  • Charts, natively animated — a new Charts category in MotionFast brings 15 data templates that render on-device with the rest of the timeline — Column Chart, Rotated Columns, Stacked Columns, Ranked Bars, Bar Chart Race, Line & Area, Donut, 3D Donut, Gauge & KPI Rings, Candlestick, Waterfall, Funnel, Radar, Heatmap and KPI Stat Tiles. Type your numbers into the panel and they animate in — no spreadsheet, no screen capture. They load only when you actually use one, so the template picker opens just as fast as before.
  • Four new motion templatesGradient Sweep Text runs a soft gradient wipe across a headline, Typewriter Text Frame types a line out inside a framed card, Text Cursor Select sweeps a cursor through a phrase and highlights it, and Comment Thread Camera flies through a stack of chat comments for UI-style product shots.
  • The Flipbook Builder — a new full-screen 3D blocking tool for planning a shot before you generate it. Drop in primitives — cube, sphere, plane, torus, cone, cylinder, plus human and car stand-ins — keyframe their position, rotation and scale, and fly a camera through with presets like Orbit 360, Push In, Pull Back, Crane Up and Arc Left. Render the result as a clean reference video to drive a video model that follows camera direction.
  • Masks and adjustment layers no longer wreck the render — any frame carrying a clip mask or an adjustment layer used to drop the project background entirely and leave a 1px white fringe around every masked edge — worst on text masks, where antialiasing turned into hard stepping and moving edges shimmered. Those frames are now flattened onto the background before encoding, so what you export matches the preview.
  • Reference slots match what each model actually accepts — media fields now honour the per-model, per-type limit instead of guessing — Seedance omni, for example, correctly offers 9 image, 3 video and 3 audio slots — and dropping in too many files tells you the real cap instead of silently discarding the extras.
