v6.5.0 — Smooth zoom-out on big boards & visual-editor fields that hold their value

  • Values you type in the Color and Layout panels finally stick — the visual editor’s preset fields used to push every keystroke straight into the page, so a half-typed value like “ce” was rejected as invalid CSS and the field snapped back to its old value on every character — the controls looked broken. They now commit when you leave the field or press Enter (Escape cancels), and picking a preset still applies instantly.
  • Shorthand properties stop reverting — editing BG Position — and border radius, border width/style/colour, gap, text decoration, overflow, transition, place items and inset — appeared to do nothing and snap back, because the editor could only read the browser’s longhand pieces and never saw the shorthand you had just set. It now reads those values back correctly, so the edit holds.
  • Zoom out across a big board without it falling apart — cards that get small on screen now draw as their preview image instead of staying live — HTML cards stop animating, video players stop decoding, full-res photos aren’t loaded — so the flashing and blank gaps at far zoom are gone. Below a certain size a card paints as a single block of its own dominant colour, so even a fully zoomed-out board still reads as itself instead of a grid of grey boxes.
  • The zoom-out limit is gone — because small cards are no longer live, boards with lots of HTML cards no longer stop at 35% — every board zooms out all the way. A new App settings entry, Simplify small cards when zoomed out, lets you set the threshold (Never, or below 50 / 90 / 150 / 250 px on screen).
  • A minimap that looks like your board — the minimap now paints each card in the colour extracted from its own preview instead of a flat per-type grey, so it is far easier to find the part of the board you are after.
  • Export an HTML card straight from the board — the HTML card’s toolbar button is now Export and opens the visual editor directly on its export panel, instead of making you open the editor and hunt for the button.
  • Custom motion templates just work — the App settings switch that gated user-imported MotionFast templates is gone — importing a template is the consent — so imported templates always load. Imports still go through the same validation as before.
