- Rebuilt video playback engine — the editor preview now glides on a steady internal clock instead of stuttering forward and back during playback, the timeline cursor and on-screen frame move smoothly, and paused scrubbing stays instant and exact.
- Long & 4K renders that actually finish — and far faster exports — renders stream to disk (no more memory ceiling), automatically right-size oversized source clips for the chosen resolution, and fail with a clear message instead of freezing forever. A new decoder pulls frames straight from each clip’s original full-resolution source, so exports run many times faster while staying frame-accurate.
- Render in the background — a render now runs as a background job you can leave and return to: switch boards or tabs and the progress reattaches, cancel or download from a panel that stays up until you dismiss it, and the finished file still lands on your board.
- New Seed Audio 1.0 voice model & live generation placeholders — a new text-to-audio model speaks any text in a preset voice or clones a voice from a short sample (with a speed control), and slow generations now drop a labeled “AI generating…” loader card onto the board right away, swapping in the finished media when it’s ready.
- Multi-clip editing, frame notes & a simpler editor — Shift-click or drag a box to select and move several clips at once on free-positioned channels, add an optional description under any frame, and enjoy a cleaner generation panel and video editor now that the experimental Code-to-Remotion path has been retired. Startup is faster and more reliable too, with background licensing and an offline grace period.
